Hawijch Elders received a prize of €30.000, an album recording with Universal and three years of artistic secretariat coordinated by La Società dei Concerti (Milano).
She entered the finals together with Elli Choi and Anna Im – they performed a series of four concerts with the last concert in Teatro alla Scala. Here she performed Paganini’s Violin Concerto no. 1 under the baton of Maestro Massimo Zanetti.
The recital rounds, which were held in Sala Verdi, she performed together with pianist Sander Sittig; Beethoven string trio with Benedetta Bucci and Massimo Polidori. In a very special round all finalists had to perform on the ‘Carlo Ferdinando Landolfi violin’ (Milan, 1757) from the historical instrument collection of the Conservatory of Milan.

Hawijch Elders has been awarded the 1st prize and three special prizes for performances of Bach, Reger and Marteau at the 8th Henri Marteau International Violin Competition in May, 2023.
